Cereals That Have Stood The Test Of Time!
The other day I was in the cereal aisle at the store and it occurred to me that breakfast cereal often has a long shelf life. Over the years I have tried many different cereals and this market doesn’t change a lot anymore. If you look down the aisle it seems the same cereals are always on the shelf.
Looking at some of the names on the shelves many things come to mind. Cheerios continues to lead the way it seems. This oat cereal now has a variety of options, but the original seems to never go out of style.
Most people will remember the punch line They’re Great!!! This line comes from Frosted Flakes and the cultural icon Tony the Tiger. No matter how old you happen to be you probably have had a bowl of frosted flakes at least one. They taste good and have stood the test of time.
Rice Krispies along with Corn Flakes are just a few more that have stood the test of time. Cereal is one of the few food staples that seems to rarely get rid of a product. Sales have to be horrible anymore for a cereal to be discountinued. This is a rare market that shows if people love it there always is a market for it.
