Millions of people deal with Autism and I also am one of those people. My grandson has Autism, but he is such a special young man. Most people can not tell he even has it unless you interact with him a lot.

He is non-verbal and will be entering school this fall which is scary in many ways. He has a hard time communicating since he cannot talk. He leads me by the hand showing me what he wants around the house.

I started giving him baseball cards to play with and it seems the picture really get him excited. He has this one thing he does and that is collect different things. Some days it will be socks, other days it’s baseball cards or clothes. I do not know why he does it, but he does.

I’ve learned so much from this four-year-old kid. Never take things for granted and live every day as if it’s your last. He taught us we are all different and that it’s okay to be different. This is what makes the world go around. We each have are own spot in it and should always be respected and loved.
